it'll obviously be heavier than usual, but then again, people are becoming too soft with tiny light phones that snap in an instant.

Plus if you're buying an 8800 i'm assuming you want SOME level of attention.

Why not make it worth it in value as well.

well if it's your fancy, by all means.

There is a difference between showing off by raising it into the sky and screaming THIS IS GOLD PLATED, and enjoying something yourself.

I bought a Mont Blanc watch, another watch could do the same function but I bought it because I liked it.

Side note:

I can plate in silver as well.

how about engraving the handle (with a dragon or skull or something). that might actually make this phone appealing to me. then add some wood like on the mobiado phones!

@ Amnesia

How do you plate these phones?

I know this is a very long shot, but could you carbon fibre them?!?!

That would interest me.

the parts are stripped down, then they are treated, then covered with several layers of liquid gold or silver.

I dont think I could do carbone fiber because it would have to be shaped around the phone and I dont have a mould or a phone I could practice with.

If you could provide a dummy, I could ask for it to be tried.
