Yes. Its something else i think.
It is. It's called Windoze. Windows still has a problem with non-native drivers. The easiest fix. Get a Mac. BT is native to the OS. All of my phones and BT headsets work with my Mac.

@sapporobaby, that's a very expensive solution -- "killing a mosquito with a cannon"
@whizkidd, (just thought you might want to check this too) is the USB port you are using working perfectly with other devices? Have you tried putting the dongle in a different USB port?

Getting a mac is too drastic! I'll try reinstalling windows and add sp2... @blackspot, no problem with the usb port as i was using another dongle earlier. The problem with that one was that i wasn't able to connect to the net using it. _________________

Getting a Mac is never too drastic. It is a solution to all of your problems. No more Windoze for me, however, try this.
1. Remove all devices from the USB ports.
2. Delete the USB port and or hub.
3. Reboot the PC. It should find the new USB ports again.
4. Reinstall the drivers and try the dongle again.
By the way, is your dongle USB 2.0? This could also be the problem If it is USB 2.0 but the port is 1.0 or 1.1 this could cause a problem because your dongle wants to perform at the higher speed but your ports do not support this.
