Hi, need some help here. Just want to know how long it takes to encode a 700 meg xvid file? It says here that it takes almost 40 minutes, is that right?

Depends on the spec of your PC, but sounds reasonable. Remember the quality is worth the wait, trust me

Just a suggestion, it would be better if the option to split the video to xx minutes had a check box to enable/disable it to allow no splitting.

I have a question:
Can the "ipod" setting be used for iPod Video? Or is that feature planned for a future version?

makbil, you can set the split time to 0 or 999 minutes to stop m3 splitting files of any length.
the ipod profile is for the ipod video, you can use that to convert videos for it.
note: the 'ipodh264' profile might not work though, i don't own an ipod and nobody has confirmed whether it's functional yet.

It need to be said ... I gave M3 a try ... and I guess I'm gonna stay with it!
Been experimenting with it for 2 days now and I'm very happy with it!
The quality is just so great! I'm also surprised what the W850i-screen was capable of ... Believe it or not, a full lenght movie WITH subtitles(!!!) is perfectly 'viewable' on the phone.
The only thing that I believe could be better ... is the converting speed.
But hey, you won't hear me complaining, great job!!
