Right now Nokia smartphone solutions looks like the best deal you can get
I would check the Nokia forums before a final decision. Some weeks ago I browsed through some of them and it seems Nokia users aren't immune to bugs either

Hi guys, just joined and I am really impressed with the info here as it has been a great help to me. A big thank you to all the posters!
I have upgraded to the new firmware and it is indeed more stable and a little faster. I have had only 1 crash in 2 days (while the radio was on).
Like some others, it is rather disappointing that SE doesn't inform us what has been improved, changed etc in these firmware upgrades. I get the feeling that they are trying to keep us in the dark too much.
Anyway, keep up the good work!

With the latest fw (one before this), smpro 1.4 and tweak peaks my P990 is really superb phone. Very fast, stable (no self restarts), no bugs, a true P series representative. Only opera crashes sometimes but I use it very hard. Today I removed the flip and must say that a feeling is so good. Fantastic phone!

@makbill, of course not, s60 v3 phones have the same amount of RAM has UIQ3 phones, even the new N95, so problems also happen
Only the super E90 will be problem free - it has 2 times the RAM of N95 or P990 or N93 or M600

Possibly, but I have used Nokia communicators before and didn't find them very practical. The preliminary photos I saw of the E90 look like a communicator model and definitely bigger than the P990. Anything bigger than the P990 and most likely I would start leaving it behind to avoid carrying all that luggage. So you see, size does matter

Of course, i was not talking about design, i also am not a fan of comunicator style phones, but in terms of raw hardware power, the E90 is the real beast, not the N95

Imagine 80mb free RAM for user
Anyway, that guy from What Mobile that posts at my-symbian, John Morris, said next UIQ devices from SE will also have more RAM

@seunlock-uk,
You mentioned that most problems are caused by a bad firmware update. Is there a way in which we can verify if the problems are caused by firmware or hardware? Ever since I updated my phone to the latest firmware, I am experiencing strange problems (unable to make calls / send sms, but the phone is on). Decided to send to the Service Centre for them to reflash my phone. When I got my phone back yesterday evening, in less than 2 hours, I got my first reboot to improve performance. And while charging my phone at night, I found it rebooted when I woke up in the morning!
Can we verify the checksum on the phone or on our PC? Is there a image file on the PC whereby we check out the size? It would be much easier if we can just compare the file size of the firmware image to verify if whatever that is download is complete.
