@HellDemon
I reckon the service centre would replace your phone if it turned out to be faulty. Keys don't crack unless it's a manufacturing fault.

Yeah, I'd only assume so, but then again, I haven't tried the sony ericsson service centre as my previous fone (:se: 900i) wasn't faulty in any given way.
But I've had previous experiences with sony, and I can assume their excuse is "Well our keys woudln't crack unless it's been put under heavy use by the user, in which voids the warrenty as self-inflicted damage rather than a manufacture faulty" but then again, this is sony ericsson, it could be different...
I'll just wait until someone from this forum actually talks to the service centre about their faulty keys and if they would replace it for them or not. (I'm a abit precautious; the 3g lens on my k810 cracked but the store woudln't replace it or even send it back to the manufacture, so I ended up selling it to my friend for $30 CDN cheaper then how much I bought it for. ) I just pray they do.... I want the S500 so badly right now.

Though one thing I'd gripe about the S500; NO AUTOFOCUS OR EVEN FLASH FOR THE CAMERAA!! I mean, even the samsung 11mm sliders have autofocus on them; they're even 3mp!
This may be a mid-low end phone, but at least put a decent camera on it! I mean, even the W810i has a camera with autofocus on it, and that phone only costs 300 bucks! Though it may have been more expensive when it came out, I'd still prefer AF and F (or at least AF) for it. (plz dun flame me for this XD i jus realli wanted to say that for a while)

JUST RELEASED!
English version of the S500i Mobile Review review XD

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/sonyericsson-s500-en.shtml

This phone is so beautifulllllll! If only there would be a guarantee that Sony Ericsson would fix/exchange the faulty keypad, then I'd be all over it.

Also, one more question, how much slower would a 4gb M2 make the S500? I doubt it would affect the actual performance that much, but reading + writing time like for taking pics and browsing through the file manager/walkman tracks, how much would that be significantly lowered by? I really want a 4gb, but I don't want to hinder it's read/write speeds that noticably.
Cuz for my W900i, even using a SanDisk Ultra II 4gb Memory Stick Pro Duo, it was still quite slow, although abit faster then just normal 4gb sticks.

Next Phone To Get: 910i I can't wait.... Although it's just about the same as the S500i/W580i, bigger screen, better design although I wish it'd be glossy like the S500, walkman 3.0, and the whole motion sensing thing for the walkman and auto-reorientation.

First off impressions for this phone...
im really shocked how cheap it feels. The phone bends when you use it and press the buttons.
Battery cover is ridiculous to get off.
I dunno im not liking it so far at all

Hi, guys. I've got one quick question for you - are the 'dynamic lights' glowing when there is a missed call?

No, the side lights don't turn on to indicate missed calls/new messages.
