I have the same CDA like ZULAN. Last time I updated. It said P1i Trade South Africa and I haven't bought my phone in South Africa. I had to wait for 5 days after the WG for the previous update. Are there any other reasons to change the CDA or just the problem of updating later.?

braw, follow that guide and rejigged my phone from o2 to GW1, new firmware installed too.
Total of about 25-30 minutes to achieve everything (backup and dowload of new fw included)
And I no longer have the O2 boot up screen - a nice and shiny (albeit lower res ) SE boot screen now
However, the phone needed to download internet mms settings but didnt recognise any 3g connectino only gprs!
hopefully Ill be able to correct it.
Cheers

Can someone or a few users please post specific details about improvements after the update? I don't have an update for my firmware yet and am considering changing it to WG1. However, I will wait a while to see if SE posts an update, or I have to weigh the pros and cons to see if its really worth the risks, if any.
- Apart from speed improvements, has the camera 'green tint' issue been fixed?
Also, does the exposure and night mode feature work now, or are they just the same as before?
- any other improvements, for example WLAN? I just prefer if WLAN would work automatically seeking the best signal and connecting automatically without me having to search and connect. How about speed of connection? any fixes?
- Everyone with WG1, can you also please verify if Youtube or any other streaming video works via WLAN and not 3G or UMTS?? Please be specific about which sites you've been able to get to work.
If these and other improvements have been made, then it will be worth changing to WG1 and updating to current firmware. If not, then things are really not that different except for speed and a few other minor changes.

That would be nice, but there probably won't be anything like that. For some reason it seems SE has a company policy on not linking their software development department in, well, any way, to customer- relations - so unless they employ someone to measure the osmotic pressure between the two, it seems we won't really know much about what happens from SE.

Yeah I guess. I was talking to them about my phone not playing Youtube videos and after two weeks of going back and forth, the rep said that ... wait, let me quote it: "Also, please note that all sites are a third party site and we are not familiar with how to use them."
Why then did they advertise the phone as capable of playing streaming media?
Sometimes they do stuff that's really stupid!!!

Yep. That's SE support that is.
The worst thing is that it's so unnecessary. If I want unresponsive claptrap, I'll just call my service- provider.
