hi
I just bought the SO905iCS phone. It came with the hyper SIM card. It was working in Hong kong until i came over to china. It seems that it cant get any GSM network coverage. Does it need a 3G network?
please help. i am still trying to get the phone to work on 2G network. How is it possible?
thanks
chris

hi
Is there a way to input chinese characters for SMS on a SO905iCS? What is the use of the dictionary? Is there a chinese dictionary for SO905iCS?
The phone came with lots of "Themes" but when i restored to factory settings, the themes were gone. Is there a way to upload it?
please advise
thanks

You can't set the iso, it's automatic so night photo is pretty much crappy as the phone boost up the iso to the max.

You cant restore your theme if you do not have access to imode.

It should work in Toronto...
Its GSM (Tri-Band) and 3G...
Cheers

ENJOY
Triband GSM (900/1800/1900Mhz) where ONLY the 1900Mhz is useful here in Toronto (Ontario Canada); and its 3G is of no use here (its on 2100Mhz, Both Fido & Rogers use 850/1900Mhz for 3G/HSDPA).
So unless this phone has EDGE on 850mhz (Rogers & Fido use EDGE ONLY on 850mhz) you're STUCK with a Beautiful cam phone that can only upload pics @ GPRS speeds (48kbps) ouch! That alone makes the phone less palatable.

Haha,
It has a 'Semi-English menu' - but i'm lucky enough to know Japanese lol - so its all fully JPN for me (^_^*)
So what exactly does "semi-english" mean? If I only know english, what aspects of the phone will I not be able to use/understand?

after using a few days, now really feel like selling off this SO905iCS. No T9 for English. Not as user friendly as the rest of the sony ericsson phone. Would like to know how all of u feel about the phone or am i the odd one out.
thanks

Talking about PhoneBook, how many contacts this phone can accommodate and is that multiple fields entry like other SE's phones?
Thanks.

Chris,
It does not have T9 for English - purely because it is a feature into implemented into any of the JPN Phones - plus to add to that, it would be like a Japanese individual importing a K850i for use - it won't have and Kanji T9...
Also, on the topic of GUI and user Friendliness, agreed - the Symbian OS used by DoCoMo is not great - in fact, its rather poor - very primitive in both appearance and usability - however, give it a week or so - see how you get on, and if after that - you and the 905i really dont get on - by all means, offload it - there are sure to be buyers readily waiting with cash/decent trade off.
