with my 8gb ScanDisk M2 card, the c902i seems all the more, slower.

whenever i listern to music and use other functions at the same time like texting, the phone works with a lot of lag..

i wonder if its the phone itself or the M2 card? would it make a difference if i bought an 8gb SONY M2? or even consider downgrading the size to a 4gb M2 card?

I would guess that it's just the handset trying to read the 8gb card. I have a 4gb Sandisk in mine and it's fine.

It's not a fault as far as I know but happens with a lot of phones with bigger cards.

i've read that some people using 8gb sandisk M2 in k850i works smoothly.

anyone else experiencing the same problem as me with an 8gb sandisk M2?

i've only filled it up with less than 2gb data btw..

You do realise that there's a larger difference between 2.2 inches and 2.4 inches, than 2.0 inches and 2.2 inches, right? Let me remind you that you said that 2.2 inches is "nearly" 2.4 inches.

You're intentionally trying to find faults in what i'm saying and running away from the point.
Let me remind you what the point was. 2.0 inch screen is too small, whether anyone here likes that or not. Majority is not automatically right. 2.2'' is not the perfect balance, thats your assumption and your opinion. Most phones coming these days are 2.4'' or more.

Wait,

'2.0 inch screen is too small, whether anyone here likes that or not.'

but

'Majority is not automatically right. 2.2'' is not the perfect balance, thats your assumption and your opinion. '

I don't understand how according to you it's a fact 2 inch screens are too small for anyone but as soon as he says something it's only his opinion, it's annoying me that what you say becomes some unarguable 'fact'.

I tried this phone today in the O2 shop, and I really didn't like it! The size is great, and to be honest, the screen in real life doesn't look too small. But the keys were awful! I could not type a text message because of the way the keys are angled forward. Seems like such a strange design. I gave it a chance and tried a few times with different techniques, but it was so slow.
The camera I found awkward to use as well. The blue touch shortcuts were very buggy, and didn't always respond first time. The photos it produced seemed okay on screen, but the time it took to take them put me off!

I think maybe sony ericsson should get a Firmware update to sort the lag out because, yes, it is quite laggy when i have the media player in the background (and generally sometimes), but its nothing too irritating.

I also have an 8GB M2 but SanDisk (personally i dont notice the difference between SanDisk and Sony models), and I had no problem whatsoever with my old K810/K800.

The 8GB M2 worked just the way on those two phones just as my old 256MB and 1GB cards did. I definately think its a bug or something that sony ericsson could easily wash out with an update.

There must have been a little problem with it. It shouldn't take long to take pictures.

When I'm talking about speed, i mean it took so long to set the camera up! I wanted a macro picture and it took forever to get it ready. My K810i is 10 times quicker. Plus I can actually type on my phone too.

Well, that's weird. Jmcomms said that he loved using this phone. It doesn't lag at all and stuff like that.

I must admit that I haven't experienced what I would perceive as lag either. Now I did up until recently use Symbian S60 handsets mainly but I have used my C902 extensively over the weekend and I would say that in my experience that it doesn't feel laggy
