R1GC002 is for W995a (America), heard nothing more about it though.

Is there any way to check for a firmware update using the Update Service without having to plug in the phone? Its rather tiresome to turn off, remove and replace battery, hold 'c' and then plug-in only to find out later that no firmware has been released for your region.

You can by using your phone update service.Go to Settings/Update service/search for update.
(That for some reason always says I have the latest softwate but i actually don't.)

I got the new (generic/SIM-free) firmware for my W995, but I still don't have a web feeds option in the media menu! When is SE going to notice this omission?

They NEED to release a firmware update with a new cam driver... I was at a party yesterday night and a friend of mine compared my w955 with his c902 and he just said that his camera is better and his was right. FAR BETTER CONTRAST AND SHARPNESS. Don't know whats wrong. I remember when i had the w810 and the colors were so good. The pictures from my w995 seem to be taken from dirty lenses.

I see there are a number of new firmware updates since R1FA035, but SEUS doesn't see any updates for my w995a. I have updated the phone with custom acoustics files, a different camdriver and a customize_upgrade.xml file to be able to watch Youtube on the phone over AT&T's network. Are other w995a users able to get newer firmwares? Do I need to flash the phone back to all SE firmware files for SEUS to see the updates? Please advise. Thanks!

btw does anyone here manage to charge the battery to 100% capacity, mine the most is 98%

Hey I just got my C905 replaced with a w995 and the album art that i could see when my memory card was in the C905 isn't visible on the W995. You can only see album art when music is playing. It's got software version RIGA026,Will doing an update get the art work back in the list of albums? Has anyone solved this already?
