Bad news. Looks like they decided to adopt heavily overprocessed fake looking photos like Samsung, Apple and Google.

This Saturday, Sony representative in my country (Croatia) told me they expect it in second half of April. It seems that Zackbucks is spot on about EU release date.

Maybe include some profiles in the camera settings: 1. Neutral - 2. Overprocessed DxOmark (default setting to ensure high score).

Google translate says that they based the entire article on a youtube comment. Can hardly be considered as reputable source, can it?

Historically, Sony was always about real-life representation (as it should be!) without sugar coating things. Sadly, most people prefer vivid/punchy unrealistic colors right out of the box. I guess they decided to joint the pack in order to boost their sales.
I can only hope that "Pro mode" may fix things.

More HDR = more artificial
Impossible to avoid this. Reason photographers prefer to play will exposure during edition than using HDR mode.

This isn't news. This is just rumor based on a youtube comment.

what? Who said more HDR is more artificial? HDR creates a more realistic image that more accurately matches what the naked eye can see. Camera sensors are unable to handle different contrasting lights as well as the human eye. So, HDR was created. Having HDR does not make it artificial at all. Professional photographers use HDR all the time and then adjust the exposure values during post processing.

Bright shades ? Navy blue or purple sky? Deep black?
I have PS Express on iPad. (If you dont have, download and play with it)
There is a HDR toggle with different kinds of HDR and level to be applied.
All them changes WB drastically.
Colors are boosted to vivid
Parts get darker than they are (usually sky ), part gets brighter (foreground).
That is why I dont like HDR+/stacking.
The photos of S20Ultra look like that AI image enhancement that came with P20 Pro and Huawei got rid later.
Sky was dark blue, almost as dark as blue of X10 body.
There was an interview ublished last year, I read on eprice taiwan, that people responsible for cam software said they were studying this possibility, because they heard so many people love boosted colours, no matter how fake it was.
If it's true, unless you only shoot raw, your photos may be like social media filter.
