Just put the flip back on after a month or so,cuz i write a lot and i scratched my screen long enough.

Without the flip you have to adapt the phone!
Use a KeyMapper and make the Internet key (or any other) to launch the "Phone" application.
This way you have shortcuts (program them all) and full keypad at a button click.

Flip on! Safer to use while driving. A lot quicker too when writing texts and when I chat through IMs because of the small keyboard.
