Hmmm... free phone, £12.50 line rental for 6 months, then £25? Is that a good deal? http://www.redmobile.co.uk/2/showphones.php/3783

Can anyone find k750i on Orange Off-Peak 1000 for £20/month (which Orange's website currently has), but with a free handset (which other sites do, but Orange don't)...?

Has anybody used them before ?
What was the service like ?

Ok guy I’m going to tell you a little story about o2:

Today I decided to go get myself a k750i from my local o2 store, so I walked in to the store and asked the assistant if the had any k750i’s in stock.

To which he replied "yes we have one left, just take a seat while i go get it for you"

So the guy comes back out and shows me the phone and asked how I would like to pay for it, I the reoffered to the catalogue and said that I would like to buy it sim free for £300.

Now this is were it gets interesting, He looked at me and said, "Sorry sir but I can't sell it to you sim free as it just isn't profitable"!!!!

To which I replied " so you catalogue is completely misleading?

He the said “Sorry sir but I have nothing to do with the catalogue” and that “management has decided not to sell the phone that way”

At this point I asked to speak to a member of management, but you guessed it! They were out to lunch! So I promptly left the store and I will never return to that one again!

So I thought I’d give the o2 store in East Kilbride a chance to redeem my faith in o2.But this store is even worse!

I walked in and was greeted by the smiling face of the sale assistant, I Once again asked if the had an k750i’s in stock to which she replied

“Yes we have five in stock take a seat while I go get one”

So she came out with the phone and I said I would like to purchase it sim free, At this point she looked at me like I was speaking Swahili!

She then went into the back of the shop and came back and said sorry sir but we can sell phones like that! I referred to the catalogue again.

At this point she really astounded me, I asked why the wouldn’t honour the catalogue and she said…………………

“Because we don’t want to!”

At this point it just laughed and walked out of the store! I can safely say I will never use either of these o2 store again!

so the more of the story is o2 in glasgow will only sell to you if they want too!

lol @ selling it sim-free at £300 not being profitable! In Holland they sell it sim-free at £220 and they think it's profitable!

Similar to the attitude that I recieved my my local O2 store.
The one nearest to me is in the Potteries shopping centre, Hanley, Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, UK.

When I asked to buy it sim free he had a look of disgust as if I'd said something wrong. I mentioned that I was able to buy the 2 K500's last December but all he said was we do not sell sim free phones. Wouldn't say anything else. Promptly walked out. Took my contract out from there but will certainly not be returning to renew it

As a citizen of Sweden I'm stunned how hard it can be to buy an ordinary cell phone in other countries. In Sweden we don't have such limitations and can buy them in any way we want and pay for them in any way we want and not necessarely from an operator.

In that respect I definitely live in right country.

@Laim, that is good news, I was told 14 days. Pity o2 cant brief their staff properly about phone releases etc. Would only take a few mins at the beginning of the day...

@richard - Im very tempted to take a trip from Kilkeel to the castle court o2 store and pay the £50... but think Ill wait till the end of the week and see if I can get it for free... £50 is, after all, half a pair of replays...

Mate i have just had the same experience.

I feel so guted i don't even feel like typing out what happend.

Something which made it worse was actually seeing the staff waving the phone around in your face. Made me want to kick his ass!
