> K750i - What bugs have you found?
Bookmark topic
more or less the same problems:
1 - intermittent standby crash
- this is when the phone's in standby mode and locks up, pressing any keys or anything does nothing.. the only way to recover from it is by removing, and re-inserting the battery, then powering it back up
- I thought this may have had something to do w/ outlook synch-ing since it started happening after my first outlook sync (which I did after a few crash-free days), but I've since done a 'factory reset', and it's still coming up now, more or less on a daily (and sometimes hourly basis)
2 - low volume on max
- on the handset, the volume level is comfortable enough, but with my HBH-300 headset, it's barely adequate
- also, today I noticed after getting off of a conference call with it, that nobody on the other end could hear anything from my end
3 - reception bars seem to reflect much lower reception than my other phones (nokia 7610 and treo 650)
- while the call quality seems ok, most of the time, my phone is dwindling between 0-bars and 3-bars tops
- is this just a reporting error? or is this model really just inferior in the reception department?
I guess I should've realized being an early adopter would mean running into these teething problems, but the standby crash problem is just apalling. I'm kind of surprised their QA labs let this one slip under the radar.
Does anyone have any idea of when SE will be pushing out a new firmware update? How long did SE take when pushing out other firmware updates for their other models (ex. P9xx, K700, etc.)? I'm trying to get an idea of whether or not it'd be worth waiting for a firmware update, or if I should just give up and go back to my Treo.
Thanks.

an interesting thing happened to me today!!
while trying to pair with a 6630 .... i entered a password and when the 6630 received the msg that a device is requesting a password ... the 6630 rebooted!! and my K750 kept on waitin for around 10 second a reported a connection loss!
it was nice though having the 6630 reboot
plz ppl try it with a 6630 and enter the password as "1"
now the real bug that i found is... when paired with another phone and u goto My Devices-->select device-->more-->allow connection
no matter what u choose it will always ask u if u wanna receive the file from that device!!

Are there any hardware related bugs identified so far? Or are there only firmware related ones?
Thanks in advance!

@bico...
Glad you mention it... My k750i earphone buzzes and crackles like hell... I tested it in the service menu and at the highest volume everything is distorted...
Any had the same experience?
Thanks.

@emparq and thelight
I too have the incompatibility problem with the K750i and the HBH-300 headset. There is a thread on this on the Accessories board, although the problem clearly lies with the phone, as the handset works perfectly with all my other phones.
I am waiting for a detailed answer on this from SE, which they have promised me. I'll post their response when I get it.
On another forum, someone today claims that a Sony Ericsson representative told him that new firmware is to be released "within two weeks". Hope that's true and it resolves this and the other issues.
Thankfully, I have not been afflicted with the standby crash, which sounds awful - what if someone was trying to reach you in an emergency and your phone was frozen... I couldn't put up with that.

I received my K750i today and im having the exact same problem as jamers described. When i try to record in video mode, it beeps twice and right as it starts it takes me back to standby mode.
I tried the tip with turning it on and off, also keeping it off for a while, but no help there.
Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated

@
flanonthenet: Did the same source write anything about if the Sony Ericsson Update Service for the SE K750 will be available at the same time?
By the way: On what other forum did you find the information?
Thanks in advance!

still cannot get the video to work... hopefully the new firmware will be able to fix it. are they going to post in on the sony ericsson webpage or do we have to go down to service centre for the upgrade?

You can use the SEUS, that'll appear in the support section of the K750i's site in due time.
All you need is the supplied USB cable and an internet connection.
