can we avoid the end of the world? Nope! sadly we cant... like we cant stop human from dying. Everything that has a begining, has an end, everything that lives, will eventually die.. The story of the world, from the past, present, future is written and cannot be change... like the Quran... the only chnages you'll be able to see, is the hard covers.. they come in different collours....
who created god? NO one did! If u say the humans did, so as to store order and peace etc etc... then ask urself, who created humans?? yes im referring to everyone one of u, who is reading this right this moment, who created you!! Monkeys??!! Evolution?? then who created the monkeys, or did the evolution?? who did?? is it because of the Xs and Ys a form of energy?? it is possible.. but then again.. ask urself who created the Xs and Ys... or the energy??
nothing in this universe happens because, someone says, "it just happens, and boom!!"

The answer to your question is really quite simple and there really is no magic involved. Life began as a chemical reaction, billions of years a go in what we call a primordial soup. If you put certain chemicals together you get a reaction. Like Oxygen and magnesium.
Our Sun is a giant chemical reaction which gives off heat. Simple!
We evolved.

Lets focus on what counts, comets and asteroids crashing into earth and rendering it a little chilly for the better part of 10,000 years, man made viruses that cause our flesh to drip off while still smelling of almond and strawberry, an ozone that gets so depleted that coke eventually starts canning ozone so you can individually protect yourself, the rest of the human race bedamned.
You know the things that count.

Sorry. I'll try and stay on topic. I believe there is a beginning and an end. It is the cycle of life. I think there will be new wars and probably a lot of destruction but the planet will ultimately survive. I also believe it will be a comet or possibly a Volcanic Eruption which will block out sunlight for a few hundred years. No trees or plants = no oxygen = no life.
