well since the competition is not making any better alternatives on the symbian OS then perhaps SE can afford to be lax as the pxxx range has never really had serious competition within its range(uiq that is),so any mistakes or bad decisions are not really punished(costly wise that is) .

P990i is being released last week of month/first week of July according to my source. Will synch with Outlook and will ship with BlackBerry Client onboard!!
Thanks for making this thread the most popular in my site's history to date..... Seems like its been years since I first got the P990i, but, I think all of you will be very excited to own one now that the bugs have been exterminated!!
Get yourselves a SE HBH-DS970 "WalkMan" Stereo Bluetooth Headset and get ready for alot of fun!!
nice

Personaly I would take no notice of a shop assistants product advice full stop, however the point is that is the second Vodafone shop that has told me not before August!

Well now that it looks like the phone should finally be out by the end of this month (fingers crossed

), I have a question about international ordering. I think I will probably be ordering from play.com based on current prices. I haven't really ordered much internationally, so can I still just use a credit card from the US and have the right amount be charged? Also, are there taxes and such with high shipping costs? I guess I will just find this out from play.com, but I wanted to be prepared so I can get the P990 in my hands as soon as possible! Thanks.

I still do not see a real competitor to the P990.

unfortunately I disagree in that the P990 competitor has been out for almost a year now in at least 2 forms, the jasjar and excluding 3G, the k-jam, and if the M600 is anything to go by, the P990 will be struggling to compete even when it does come out though I am still keeping an open mind until I actually give the P990 its work out
and when the times comes, the jasjam (hermes) will be the one I will be comparing probably

@masseur, looking forward to future reviews but I am not sure you can really compare 2.5/2.75G phones with 3G phones. The download speeds really are very different and many (not the M600) offer video calling. As I have mentioned many times, my HTC Universal is now collecting dust (well actually I use it just for TomTom now) because of poor call quality, instability after recovery from save battery mode, short battery life and poor memory management. Also you just need to compare the size and weight of the M600 and JJ to see how different these devices are. Most people would not carry a JJ (especially on a hot day - where would you put it?) but the M600 is very portable. Unfortunately I have no experience of the KJAM but it does sound like a well engineered device (hardware and software integration) compared to the JJ.
My M600 passed the survival test yesterday. Prepared a shopping list on it and then when in Tescos I had to quickly navigate to the list and make a call to the wife to check a few details - all performed quickly without drama. Mission accomplished!
