@ vikeviki

Why does Sony have to release a phone at the same time as Samsung to be competitive? Every company has its own release schedule. The Z1 release late but it was the third best selling device in Europe over the holidays. The release schedule doesn't determine the success or failure of the phone.

Sirius is an updated Z1.

@DACHA
when you say a flagship released in july-august do you mean sirius or a totally new flagship? it would be kind of silly to announce updated z1 (sirius) at MWC - basically almost in March, and then abour 4 months later announce a new flagship since you say july-august release.

@DACHA, this is confusing. Only mid-range and tablets on MWC, Q3 for the next flagship, so when is the refresh going to be announced?

@DACHA Xperia Z1 third best selling device across Europe in holiday season? I don't think so. iPhone 5s and 5c along with Note 3 and s4 are almost guaranteed to sell better than Z1 which puts it in fifth.

@ MartenR

Where did you get those numbers from? A right your opinion! My numbers are from a good source. iPhone 5c, even apple called it a failure because it sold way below the expectations. Apple actually lost market share in Europe last quarter and the only reason why it sold more phones than last year in the same time period is the strong performance in the US and Asian market.

@ itsjustJOH

I am just as confused as you are.

I don't have any numbers. I was asking for your source. It seems like your source is reliable so I have to say well done indeed.

Sirius will come earlier than that, and the "next one(s)"... about half a year later.
Code names and basic platform specs are already decided, but there won't be any leaks or rumours at this point.

Will those tablets be the only ones for the year?

@DACHA:
If we consider Sirius not to be a flagship, just a 'refresh', then that doesn't contradict a release at MWC, right?
Ok it also wouldn't be fair to call Sirius a mid range...

Hm I gonna add myself to this general confusion.

^^ That is right! There are 6 months between February and August. Sirius in February and Z2 in August
