I'm so glad that i had to return home early day before yesterday. Most of my poor friends have been stranded at the hospital hostel with no electricity for 2 nights now... They are returning home today morning..
Spend most of last evening helping a friend try to trace his mother who got stuck in traffic... Absolutely uncontactable.. but finally she managed to return home late last night.
Never Have i seen mumbai's infrastructure crumble so badly...
No Electricity, most phones dead, no mobile signal, No cable Tv during the times electricity was on... But atleast i was at home!
Here's a pic to summarize it all. I think this pic covers all the elements of mumbai's mess yesterday - Traffic Jam, floods, and hoardes of stranded people.
P.S: This pic is of the normally very busy eastern express highway which is very close to my college, but still i can't recognise it.

As always, its getting back to normalcy....the spirit of this city is what i admire....its hardly 48 hours since a maaaajor natural calamity, and despite the setback, the city trudges back to its usual pace, as if nothing happened.....Salaam Mumbai
