ho ho - that's something I never thought of ... my insurance is dirt cheap - I know that one of my younger mates in his Golf GTI is paying nearly 1200UKP LOL - my insurance with all my NCB makes it 250UKP fully comp
... and my bike's never been dropped - and the speedo does reach 180 but I've never seen that happen officer ....

- It sounds like you've been lucky, and like you, I've had high speed accidents in my 'cage'. I've also been lucky enough to walk away unscathed, but have decided that speed should be taken to the track (although it's still quite tempting on open 'safer' roads - I try to avoid doing it).

@evoke - I'm glad you mentioned the 'other' parties - apart from one incident where I rear-ended someone at a roundabout doing 5mph I've always been the other party.
@bossjohnc - opinions vary me old china, cages are possibly more restrictive. Consider the body armour I wear in case some twat in a cage shunts me off as is always the case. When confronted with an aggrieved hairy arsed biker like I am they tend to cower suggesting that they didn't see me. Perhaps they should open their eyes?

@Ronnie, you sound like you're generalising. I'm always on the lookout for bikes as some bikers do very silly things. At the end of the day I know your opinion differs to mine, and I just hope that you're as safe as you can be and don't kill anyone. Like eve says, it's that bit that worries me the most, which is why I say 'take it to the track'.
