Just thought I'd share a couple of photos I took
These two are 8mp superior auto and then 20mp manual stock settings of the same scene

Z1 owners, can you try posting some samples using this Camera app. Just click on download and install apk
It supposedly has much better processing compared to default Sony camera.

With the sample pics above, Sony should release a fw update for the camera alone, and fast

Well if theyre aiming for photography-eccentric phone to compete with Nokia's ProCam, they should (or I can say, they may) include those manual settings which a pro cam can do. Well, for at least, not too much alike with DSLR settings.

@GEOFFXX - if you're reading this, i ordered a 64GB SDXC card, which will arrive tuesday. So, i'll be able to tell you my experience. but you really should make sure the 64gb card works in something else..

it's all rather confusing, this Kingston card worked perfectly in my XZU, I believe it was formatted exfat straight out of the packaging, it was completely unrecognised in the Z1 or my laptop, tried it in a SG4 last night still not working - but I also tried his 64gb card in my Z1 and it didn't work, I had more or less assumed that the XZU and the Z1 were very similar in both Hardware and Software so I just assumed the card would work perfectly in the Z1
So what next, it is well known that SD cards are fragile and easily corrupted/bricked, I'm not sure that the Z1 supports exfat but it definitely should support fat32, I believe that most 64gb sd cards come formatted exfat so if I decide to buy another card I will be formatting it fat32 - there is no real disadvantage to doing this except the 4gb file size limit and I can't think of any situation were I need a file size anywhere near 4gb, fat32 seems to be more stable and less prone to errors. I will also see if I can get the shop to fit it for me and play dumb - that way if it fails I can just walk away
Meanwhile the 16gb card is working flawlessly
PS, meanwhile I contacted Kingston support to see if they while replace under their lifetime warranty - I'm not holding my breath

well guys be careful out there when fitting sd cards, the Z1 does not support exfat according to this post - this explains a lot

^so many exclamations!
so if it brings up the setup dialog.. why don't you set it up?
Highly doubt it is a Z1 issue.
That is the problem. You can Setup the key but nothing Else. Every key is mentioned as smartkey, so no other function will work. Same with other headsets.

People shouldn't have to use a third party app to get good photos, you don't see that happening with other phones as the default Camera App is good.
