I'm not a negative towards Vodafone...the hardware is still SE, Vodafone only tinkered so slightly with the software on the phone. The 1.3mp should be the same one used in the Z800. This message was posted from a K700i

@ Slssl Did you know MTN is Slow EVERYWHERE YOU GO...... Although MTN launch 3G recently.I dont think they did JUSTICE IN MARKETING 3G..............MTN always said they will launch edge 1st because its faster to roll out than 3G.In lots of places where MTN does not have EDGE but Vodacom has 3G coverage.MTN also has no plans to cover those places soon.It looks like customers are catching uo with MTN This message was posted from a P900

Sorry Tahir, that statement didn't make sense because it wasn't substantiated...give me a link where it states that Vodacom has more 3G sites up than MTN's EDGE? EDGE is no competition for 3G but please bro get your facts right. In central Cape Town chances of me getting a Y'ello Broadband" signal is more likely then a Vodacom 3G signal which at times barely touches 2 bars on the V800 if ever it gets a signal.

SOrry Tahir... I also didn't cognize what you said there bro. All I said MTN lies about the reason for "Waiting for the 'better' 3G mobiles".

Just thought I'd correct bradboy courtesy MyADSL's Cara Christian.

Mr Brix just visit myadsl and go to the MTN forum.MTN has no plans to cover PMB,Newcastle,Richards Bay,Krugersdorp,Empangeni and KZN South coast with Edge but Vodacom has 3G coverage in those areas. This is what MTN customer are saying on that forum and MTN BB looks like he is on holiday or cant take the heat on comparison coverage.Mr Brix if you think MTN has best broadband the best broadband coverage than you and MTN must complain to the ASA(Advertising Standard Authority) because Vodacom advertises THEY HAVE THE BEST BROADBAND SYSTEM IN SA AND WIDEST COVERAGE.I want to take this up or maybe you can write an article in the CAPE TIMES.Even the administrators of Myadsl say Vodacom are leaders in broadband........Where is the sense of having EDGE when all new 3G phones do not support EDGE and MTN data card does not support EDGE.

@Tahir: I've just read the forum and no-where does it state that MTN are not planning to launch EDGE in PMB. I think their strategy has been hit-and-miss as far rolling out EDGE. Yes, Vodacom will lead in 3G coverage because they had a 6 month headstart...but I suspect MTN is banking on corporate clients with it's newest data services, I speak under correction but they still favour MTN's Business Solutions over what Vodacom offerers...things might change with their laptop and PC package.

PS: This might make you happy Tahir, the WirelessMonkey just complained to me this evening via IM that MTN's GPRS has been as slow as a donkey this evening.

again a correction: Video Calls from MTN aren't for free for a period!
The subscribers get something like 30min of free Video Calls to use in 3 months. Still it is a few minutes of free video calling, but not totally free.

Brix.Plenty of corporates are with Vodacom and i can mention them but i might get in trouble.I dont think MTN has a huge corporate base as Vodacom.Every Major corporate is with Vodacom.I will just mention one and the number of lines they have with Vodacom.Rainbow chicken has 8000+ lines with Vodacom......Did you know MTN only has 5 data roaming partners and Vodacom has 53.Buy a MTN data product and you can only use it on 5 networks outside SA.I am sure corporates do go outside SA to do business.
