They advised me that R1N035 was online only for a short period and they pulled it because it didn't work very well. I was told that a replacement firmware will be online soon.
You reckon this is true? That SE have withdrawn R1N because it wasnt good? Wondering if it is worth trying updating again or waiting to see if they release a newwer version.

R1N035
- now bluetooth doesn't start automatically from java applications. I need to turn BT on manually before running any BT java applet like Bloover or BT Explorer.

confirmed that functionality downgrade!
think they did that on purpose and not a bug, to make it more difficult for bt jacking. same way the companies spy on big forums like this one to see what users are complaining about (that part of the reason video is improoved) they also read threads where users are bragging about inovative uses of the phone that could be a potential source for a lawsuit. (privacy issues etc.) and try to curb that.
i could be wrong and it could be a bug!

I've come across something rather worrying with the new firmware. 1 video file and 3 pictures have become corrupted and non viewable. These are pics/videos that were taken WITH the new firmware, were working fine and then have just died with normal phone useage.
I have not had this problem at all before the firmware update.
I have also tested another Memory Stick and can generate the same results.
Can anybody else confirm this problem, or is it just me?
I have also encountered the same problem in previous firmware also R1L anyone else with similar issue.

It's not available to me in the UK, the software TODAY downloaded R1L002.
And today SEUS UK today me they pulled R1N035. Guess he was lying then, but still no reason why my update downloaded R1L002 to my PC today.
Marty
P.S. Just tried just now, and it said my device is up to date! On R1L002

@wkdmarty
Not everyone can update to R1N: it depends on what CDA and which zone you have!!!! Please read the forum!!!

wouldnt be surprised if se support didnt even know that new firmware is out at all lol.
Are you sure your phone is not branded or cda that hasnt got new firmware available yet?? if so read back and other threads bout uk availability
lol Dextermike you beat me to it while i was typing
now just general rant. dont get peeps that dont bother to read even some pages in the thread, but just jump to the last post with the subject that has been discussed before many times thinking they are only ones that deserve advice one on one basis. shit i read through all 139 pages and most threads that interest me, call me stupid but if you did that you wouldnt for example still ask how to get into service menu even though its on the first post.
peace!

OK firstly, which one of the 136 pages do you think I should read? or are you suggesting I read all 136?
Secondly, the inital post of the notice of update simply says "The latest Firmware on SEUS is R1L002 or R1N035 dependant on your phone / location".
That hardly helps in identifying which updates suit which CDA / location / colour / etc.
I was posting factual information for anyone else having the same problem as me!!
