Wait my place here night now, cant test for daylight, i also wan to knw the result, especially for sky.
Because this time i increase contrast then set auto AE, hope there will be different.
Seem that not much different in noise... so i will use sharpness 04 better.
k850i uses a sharpness setting of 00 , pics are sharper cos it's got 1.8 more megapixels, increasing contrast to 01 makes the exposure worse, and higher sharpness doesn't cause more noise but it does also sharpen the noise aswell
also the n73 are horrible they look like sharper versions are these taken with a vga cam lol

Maybe the N73 photos is more sharp but i think the colors in N73 is more real in compare with K800i . K800 take the photos more yellow wish .
I like soo more K800 and i cant see N73 take the good photos .
When we download your latest camdriver ?
( I hope in that we have the real colors in KING K800 )
thanks of your mods

i would need the optimal compression codes for all size and quality. Anyone found them yet? 1mp fine/normal, 2mp fine/normal etc. I am trying to do something but need your help. plz post codes from your driver. With compression from 3.71 (original) i got 800KB+ size for almost all pictures. Anything better (because 3.71 uses "100%" comp - and we know its not true).
also 2.2 from gprsman uses same compressions. so plz need help

I'd recommend for people to stop posting pictures of the outdoors. EVERYBODY knows the camdriver can take decent pictures in broad daylight, hell, even the STOCK one is just as good.
Where the mods really shine is indoors in bad lighting - so take more of those and don't cram the thread with useless "tests" of camdrivers with outdoor pictures, because they prove nothing.
Just my 2 cents.
Edit: Oh oops.. one more thing, perhaps an exception may be macro shots, I see the N73/K800i comparison above really shows that the N73 autofocus is a lot better than the k800i's... but Nokia is known for artificial colouring.

i'd rather look @ really nice outdoor pics than shitty indoors 1's, the k800i is rubbish in low light and theres nothing that can be done about that, no modded k800i driver has noise reduction cos the k800i shutter speed command is unknown.

Meh, well if there is nothing that can be done, no point in modding camdrivers, is there? Outdoor performance is practically the same amongst all the drivers, modded or unmodded. Perhaps a modded camdriver may benefit from sharpness settings and faster autofocus in the dark, but other than this, I don't see any other reasons to make modifications to the K800i's camera. It's unfortunate the shutter speed command is unknown!
Edit: One more thing, I am actually looking forward to your next release number1 - I like how your settings handle the "interpolation" of the camera and the pictures don't come out as ugly. From what I said in your thread, I hope the next driver has fast focusing in the dark like in Kopritis's and a great macro.

Hi, I donwloaded this driver. Thx very much kotripis, but i have a problem here, or at least, what I identify as a problem, but maybe is normal.
When I´m taking a pic or record a vid in other mode than "portrait", I always put the phone in "natural" position (vertical), and I took the pic this way, but when I am reviewing the pic in the archive folder, it appears in wide mode, as i´ve took the pic with phone in horizontal position, and I have to turn it clockwise to correct it. This does not happen in "portrait" mode. Is this normal ? I find it very annyoning.
Thank you.

Dz 0.1 camdriver:
http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=18962
I request all the modders here to take a look at this driver and try to make some good use of its twilight landscape mode. Its really slow but it gives the best pics in extremely low light. Maybe you guys can improve it and add it in your next versions. Thanks.
Sample pics below.
