So your CPU is a P4 "B"@533, so your RAM is gonna be PC 133 (DDR 266
)(well cheap at the mo) your best bet is 2x 512 sticks, as your not really gonna use more than a gig of RAM unless your playing well new games or using Photoshop etc loads.

@andy, i'm pretty sure my ram can take,sd and ddr but will prob get 2x512 ddr or just a 1gig stick. My motherboard/ cpu can b overclocked to 3ghz , but thats always risky,don't want my pc to end up like mixin's.lol:-D

Rob, dont think itll take single channel, as that would kill board performance. And 1 gig sticks are well expensive. Having 2 512 sticks is better as if one fails you have another as back up.

SiSoft Sandra is a synthetic benchmark used for perormance analysis (synthetic as in not true to real tests such as proggys etc) and theres WCPUID which tells you FSB,RAM frequencies,
multiplier, stepping codes, resulting clock frequencies etc.
WCPUID is your best bet, as Sandra is a bit time consuming.

Just need to find out what form factor your case is. (Full ATX, Mini ATX etc) in order to choose the right size mobo. Chuck an XP 2600 in there, or a 2Ghz Celeron and 512 RAM and bobs your uncle.

I think it could be a mini but im not sure it has a space for an xtra dvd player but its covered up but i know it can be taken off! If u visit tiny.com u shud get a fairer idea wat pc i have andy then u can tell me :-) my model was £599 intel celeron just look for sumat like that ;-)
