I ran jbenchmark on my R1L and it shows up as 65K colors too? Odd i have update to R1N but gone back. I reckon jbenchmark is just wrongly calculating.

Just had a quick test of the new firmware and a bit disappointed already, videos which played smooth as silk before and only broke up maybe once at the end, now judder, skip and one vid gave up and gave me the message playback failed, also see fullscreen playback is still blocky, ho hum, kinda an anti-climax for me so far lol and from reading other posts, i thought video was improved?

@mrwoll How did you roll back to R1L? video playback fullscreen was the one thing i hoped R1N fixed

What it supposedly fixed was the bitrate of taking videos yourself with the camera. But i didnt see that much difference.

Other people will prob know more about this than me, but I am guessing you are gonna have to use an older client version of Davinci (13.2 13.3) in which you can edit the CDA of your phone as Davinci 13.7 doesnt have the CDA you need.

So basically you need to flash it back to R1L, but I am guessing this will debrand your phone I am afraid. But as I say other users will know.

Like mr_ppp, I've just updated to R1N on my Orange K750i. I tried earlier in the day and just got the R1L again, after I got the "your software is already up to date" message. This time, no message and a successful update!

aha, damn guess i misread what it was about video that improved then, ho hum, thanks for the info, i did save the the files seus downloaded before R1N was available but im guessing these arent the correct format for davinci as the customisation file throws up a corrupt file warning, ah well, look before you leap comes to mind right now :-S

Can we have more info on jbenchmark on R1L - O2 UK still block R1N and I am not sure I really want it.

Re: Corrupt files.

I've tried it on another memory stick and still got the same probs. I've not tested it on internal memory, as I thought the whole idea of having a MS slot was for photo/video storage?
Maybe it is a MS slot problem, but it seems strange that this only started when I upgraded to R1N. Maybe it's the way the firmware caused the phone to talk to the MS card?
As for the already corrupted pics/vids, they are still the same size, but information reveals their resolution to be 0x0, and no matter of file tranferring can bring them back from the dead.
ALSO, video playback of own recorded videos, although better quality, jerks every second.
I've emailed SE, so I'll await my standard, robotic reply.
=(

Now just need someone to test a R1N. I am pretty sure that jbenchmark is just misreading the color values as a downgrade from 252K to 65K would be more visable I am sure.

Videos are playing smooth as ever on my K750 with R1N035
Blocky fullscreen has nothing to do with firmware, but with the fact that video resolution is encoded in 176x144 pixels while fullscreen is 220x176 pixels, the videoresolution are simply upscaled which cause the slight blockiness. This will never change.

If your videos cannot play fullscreen without jerkiness and even fail to play, then they are not encoded according to proper standards. Did you encode them yourself or are they downloaded ?

#Doone128

That sounds really bad, I dont beleive it has anything to do with firmware, but more likely with a ms slot hardware problem. The fact that it started after firmwareupdate is a coinsidence
