Skype is a software solution. So, it is not hardware dependant, but rather Operating System dependant.

Skype has issued statements that they are working on a Symbian version. Just do a search under Google for "Skype Symbian"

Has anyone heard if SE have announced anything at the CommunicAsia event today regarding the P990?

Not tooooo fussed on the size anymore, does more than enough to justify it. I'm getting a 2GB card and replacing my iPod now I think, for when this is out. Don't worry about the delay guys, it's just a phone... if you can wait over a year for it, another month or two won't harm

normally i would agree with you that its just a phone and it doesnt really matter when it comes out because you can use any other phone in the meanwhile. But this phone is mostly used for work, I was dumb enough to sell my p900 in late april thinking this thing is almost here. Now I have been suffering without a real work phone for 2 months waiting for an announcement from SE. I would of bought a treo or something even cheaper to suffice me for now, but every week we hear something different on a release date. If SE could of just come out and given us a real date then none of us would be so stressed out.

chriswg52, I was at CommunicAsia yesterday and spent more than 2 hrs on the P990i. There was no official announcement from SE, but the staff told me the usual stuff, August release

tboy2000, yes of course. UIQ 3.0 supports FAT32 file system. So theoretically speaking, when 8GB stick is available next year, the P990i should also support it.
