Those info from Vietnam (should they be true) is typical Sony shit show... Rounded back? Single Camera (with as usual poorer low light quality than all other flagships), no 3.5m jack, FHD screen.
All would be epic fails. I would normally shut my mouth until announcement but in the last years always the bad rumors came true and the good ones kept us hoping for next time, next time.
So tired of paying premium price for mediocre everything. Bought probably 20 Sony/SE phones since SE cam to existence. Am done waiting for next time... Announcement doesn't give me something special with awesome looks and i am moving on, maybe to Nokia, the only other brand I have ever owned.
Sorry for the rant... will be the last one.

Sony should introduce the new Premium now at MWC because at IFA the S845 will be on it's way out with 7nm SoC with full 5G incoming early next year. The 7nm and 5G are big changes and it wouldn't be wise to purchase a device that will be obsolete in many ways in just a few months. Very bad moves from Sony as per the latest rumors.

I think the dual camera is CERTAIN for MWC, I would be very surprised if that device isn't at the very least shown BEHIND CLOSED DOORS because its a major marketing focus as is the slo-mo capability. While I have never seen the 'new' design live I see a lot of people expecting some sort of excrement but I'll say that its MORE IN LINE WITH THE XA2 AND XA2 ULTRA, think of those as a step towards the new design. Consider that the XA2 is quite a bit different to the XA1 particularly when you hold both of them yet it has an instant Sony feel and certain Xperia elements that MAKE IT RECOGNISABLE. Take note of the FPS position, power and other buttons and you can start to build a reasonable image of the device. Specs of the flagships are EXCELLENT, we are talking about EXTREMELY SMOOTH PERFORMANCE and nobody will be able to make the claim that these devices are not competitive. The BATTERY PERFORMANCE is also a big focus as you know from the XA2 and XA2 Ultra. There is a lot to be optimistic about, even IF 3.5mm jack is gone, there SHOULD be some form of compensation. I personally think a dual camera will allow for lots of cool augmented reality features. The question remains whether the camera is competitive against the top dogs or not. Also, aside from the 4K device the Compact with slim bezel yet mega power is the one to watch because of its size, we are talking about going back to the days where the Z1 Compact was wiping the floor with everything.

Did you ever remember that how badly first 28nm and first 14nm struggle at initial launch
and 5G adoption, how many countries will ever efforts to launch massive national-wide
Oh of course some around Korea Peninsula and few major capitals around the world
which still really small volume and Sony not really much engage to that kind of market.

Anyway, Fingerprint sensor and Camera sensor going to place in the center of device
It quite turn me off little bit, but I would reserve my judgement until I have to play with it first.
