With WP7, HTC have put their own HUB and its massively different to the OS itself so with Gingerbread I would imagine that

could just make loads of their own widgets that you could use to cover up the standard stuff. The best thing is that you'll find an App that will replace the stock stuff anyway so theres no need to worry. WP7 is incredibly limited in terms of customization though . Having played with WP7, I don't think I could use it everyday not thats its not capable but I like phones with grids and lists that are quick access. WP7 is not really right for a simple person like myself.
The PSPhone makes an excellent portable media device. The games graphics look great but I fear that it will have very few games and may end up like the NGage. It really needs strong support and big titles like Gran Turismo or Final Fantasy as well as online games for it to do well. I would say that serious gamers will be disappointed but I can't go into that. However, if you can get a PS1 or PS2 (long shot) emulator going then its a sweet deal. The announcement for this is meant to be quite some time away as the games platform needs some major building.

Well, well, well.
Just when I had given up on any of my preferred manufacturers revealing a P1i-esque Android phone Motorola gives me precisely what I've been desperately looking for in the Droid Pro. I had actually given up on that form factor and was ready to buy a full touch screen phone but no more.
I just hope it will be available worldwide instead of the US only.
Unless SE brings something like this at similar specs or better I am not getting an SE phone as my next phone even if their next phone is a super phone. I just need that physical QWERTY keypad plus touch UI and I'm willing to sacrifice a lot just for those two.

Does anyone with info know if the X12 will get a front facing camera? I'm going to bet that Google Talk app will get the video calling options over IP before long and if not then the Skype for android app will get it (or both) and having convinced people close to me to get webcams and mics on their PCs video calling is finally worthwhile for me. I've only had my X10 for 6 months and a couple days (and I'm not at all disappointed by it) but I'd trade it in tomorrow for a 1.5GHz Android shooter oriented walkie with front facing cam.

I'd like to see a return of the front facing camera too. I used it quite a bit on my old C905.

When everyone's moving past the Megapixel count and focusing on larger sensors for better image quality SE it still cramming in 16.4MP in a 1/2.8" sensor. What a waste
