the k series phones will NEVER have megabass ... so stop dreaming of it ...
The k750 had megabass
on what planet ?
maybe the k750 with the w800 firmware ...
anw as to the volume problem i am hoping to solve it as soon as i put my hands on some hpm-70's ...because they isolate you from outside sounds you don't feel the need to listen at max volume and stil wonder if the headset isn't broken

Yes, the K750i did have MegaBass. I am not sure I like the fact that SE are trying to split music and imaging with two distinct brands.
Okay, I can understand why they are doing the branding, but do they have to deliberately restrict the functionality? Even if they had one phone that had 3.2 megapixel, autofocus, flash, Walkman player, megabass etc - they could still sell it in two different 'guises'. This is what happened with the K750 and W800 (the exceptions being flight mode, which the K800 does have, headphones, walkman button/activity button and the PC software/memory card).
I am into photography, so the K800 is great. But, I like to listen to music and the K800 isn't up to scratch (although I do like the fact it fades the volume when a text comes in, or any other alert happens).

ok ok sry i made a mistake .... then if it has megabass what's the diference between it and the w800 (except activity menu) ? o.O the 512 card doesn't account for the price diference

There is very little difference between w800 and k750. Besides looking different physically, the music player also looks different but functionality is similar. The k750 did not have flight mode ( i think.) Oh and they came with different sets of headphones.

The W800 had the WALKMAN media player (which supported full screen video playback). The activity button launched the player instead.
It had a 512MB card, Sony headphones+adapter, PC Disc2Phone software and the casing was different - VERY different! Oh, and flight mode (which was on the original K750 and only taken off at the last minute to further differentiate the two models).
A quick firmware update quickly swaps the firmware from one to the other, but the W810 combined the two phones perfectly, with a much nicer screen, EDGE, web browser, RSS reader and a few other improvements.

I see CNN are selling cases for it. It even comes with the camera lense cover!!! Great for all us people who have scratched lense covers!
