I think as long as it's Pro Duo it should work perfectly, I have a 2gb and works perfectly. However I had a similar problem with a P910 and it was because of using Duo or Pro Duo card which I can remember now.
thanks for your replay but i have pro due and still having peoblems
my phone was perfect but after i used the new memory stick all kinda of wierd things and messages apeared the phone is also restarting on its own alot now when using the 4gb memory stick

yeah i also thinks that there is nothing wrong with the p990 since the memory stick started all of the problems i guess its currupted or something like that now i am looking for my camera to try the memory stick on it and see what will happen if it works well i will probably buy another one for my p990 :/

Robin I did what you said, I started hearing the news in Swedish, when I pressed full screen, the screen turned 90deg. and I got as full screen continunious news. No crashes, no white screen , no problems with mine ......
Maybe FW would help ? But I guess you already tried that

Can you try the Memorystick before you buy ? When I was buying my 2gb card, I asked the guy if it worked with my phone, (I was buying it for my P910 about 4 months ago) the guy on the counter guaranteed that it would work. So I told the guy, "since you are so sure about this, I will try this on my phone, if it didn't work, I will return it back", and he accepted it. Luckily I tried it and it worked.
By the way how much are you paying for for a 4gb memory stick ? I paid USD 65 which is about 36 Puonds for magicgate

there is a bug in the new menu bottom left if you have a moderate amount of entries in calendar the phone freezes if you try to use the new option to add an appointment. In fact the who calendar feature seems to start locking up if you try to add more than a couple of entries

I think I found another bug
I have a NOKIA MMS Observation camera, when I set it up (when I'm not at home for example) this camera detects any motion and sends me a MMS message with pictures (.JPG) of the cause for the motion. It also works in complete darkness as it has a night vision camera. It also sends the current temperature and other information attached to the same MMS message.
So at the weekend I was out , and my camera started sending me pictures on my P990, when I check the pictures, all the pictures had errors and all I could see is green, blue, yellows lines on all pictures.
So when I went home, I restarted the camera , but the pictures were still faulty. So I tried with my P910 and pictures showed perfectly fine, I also forwarded the faulty pics to my P910, the forwarded faulty pictures were viewed correctly on the P910.
So this is clearly a fault with the viewer of P990 needs fixing.
Also: this camera also sends information attached to the MMS message such as Current Temp, images to be taken etc. These texts are shown as Square boxes on my P910 and P990 , but it's eligible with my P900, P800 and other make cell phones... So somehow P990 and P910 can't understand the text that Nokia is sending them...Strange huh ???????

another bug! when someone from my contact list call me, sometimes it doesn't show the name that is in my list. on my p910 all the contacts appear! does anyone has this bug too?
