I send video MMS to some mates.
T-Mobile have an upper limit of 300KB for their MMS as well.

I was thinking this too.
To keep things simple and to save money I would imagine the operators would find phones with low res video preferable in their mid range .
MMS messages are limited to 100kb in the UK on most if not all networks. Just how long would a 100kb vga video clip be, 3 seconds?
Sorry but I don't understand sense of your words about quality of the video recording in T650 and mms function.
Second thing - why you think that T650 is a cheap phone?

Regardless of that there's not much point sending a hi res mms as more than likely the phone your sending it to won't play it anyway

True!
@Script
The T650i is £220+ so it isn't cheap atm.
My point is operators may prefer phones to have lower resolution video on phones because they are easier to send by MMS.

Now that's just dum excuse for phone to have crap video quality as most ppl keep the videos to view 'moments' on their own phones or pc's.and secondly every phone that i've had give's you option to record in mms bad quality for those who wanna send unclear videos over the network!personally i only ever bother sending pics.
