Holy 38Megapixel Crap Batman! This was taken with a medium format Hasselblad camera that costs about $30,000!!!

So - when is that kinda resolution going to be available on my cell phone?

While the front profile looks stunning, that's all there is to it. Of course we've all seen the live leaked photos, and yes, it's ugly, ugly, ugly. One obvious reasons is that it's starting to look like the 'adventurous' Nokia from 2-3 years back. Now since it has already been announced, I'm deeply disappointed because those wonderful specs are going into a crappy looking shell. I might not be an industrial designer, but looking from the leaked photos I feel least they can do to improve the outlook is by having the softkey colour blend in with the housing instead of having it in chrome as shown below

Design looks like the K810 with change of rounded to square keys. Looks good but not stunning. One HUGE design flaw I can see is the nav-keys are embedded with number keys. I remember there was a phone (Moto??) with this design and buyers hated it because of constant accidental press of number keys when using using the nav-keys.

the k850's media player in that movie shown in one of the above link looks GREAT. im not sure if it will be in retail version, but i hope it is......

i think i might be buying a w960 and a k850...... nice phones announced today, well the 3 higher end ones any way...

i myt get both as well, they are an amazing pair. and the WM interface on both phones on that video looked incredibly similar i ahve no exp with wm 2.0 but if what was shown on the w960 is 3.0 then ... well the assumption would be that the software are at least cousins.

did anyone else notice how many times the person had to press the softkeys to make them work? and the touch screen on the w960 looked impressive, however i just want the k850, oh how i wish i had wifi! that would have been TOPS!

better luck next time i guess.

ps: now that the phones have been announced, can anyone tell me if SE will go back to their old way of announcing new phones next year or will they keep this format, i would hate to buy one of these with a new model coming out so shortly after. i know it doesnt make much sense but nothing about how SE is working business wise this year is making much sense.

cant wait for the phone to drop, do we have any dates?

sorry for 2 posts ...

anyone notice how in the production photos the answer/hangup keys are black but in the videos they are silver, how will this end up in the released version?

it looks 100% more clean with the buttons the same color, i hope that they can make the keys with the same colors ... BLACK!!!

I agree, if they wanted the nav-key that way, they should've sunken the square numerical buttons slightly to reduce accidental press, I believe that would make it look even better than what we can see in the leaked photos

Finally its announced.
Still Camera - Should be great.
Video Camera - Pretty good if QVGA@30fps (I wasn't expecting VGA in this phone anyway). Anything less would be really bad.
Screen - Very bad (still 262k and still 240x320).
Keypad - Looks bad.
No Joystick - Terrible.
Release date - Very bad.
3D Graphics - No idea.
Walkman Software - No idea.

All I can say is that this phone better be cheap otherwise I'll...
just have to wait for it to get cheaper since I'm not interested in any other phone

If you're referring to the black soft key shown above, prepared to be disappointed as it is only a photoshoped image done by me to prove that small design decisions like that can really make a difference, dunno what the designers were thinking using chrome instead which looks messy and all over the place
