well i wax and polish it a lot and if you get a decent manufacturer of paint it is possible to get a close match
or halfords do one where they only paint/fill + paint the defect and then blend it in

lol, you're talking to someone who knows absolutely, completely, F-all when it comes to car maintainance. I can do the 4 main things under the bonet, just about (washer fluid, engine oil, anti freeze and I can check brake fluid) and I can pump up my tyres and thats it! I wouldn't know where the hell to start with the rest of it

It did at first, but I just can't justify spending that much money right now on something I've pretty much forgotten about.
Anyway, my Dad's just bought a machine that 'mops' the paint or something, like some industrial thing, so we're going to wash it, clay it then 'mop' it, then it'll look much nicer and all the scratches that aren't too deep will come out and it may just improve the door writing a bit

Lucky you bet you can't wait. I've heard nothing about my Fiat 500, it's been 3 weeks now so hopefully not to much longer.

I looked at the 500 before i decided to break the bank for the mini, gotta say the spec levels on the 500 are amazing, bluetooth, sat nav etc for less than £13000 you can't grumble at that.
Only thing that put me off was the styling, i feel its a more feminine car.

Yeah it is sweet i can't wait mine is just over £9,000, wanted it in black which was so much and then the leather seats and bluetooth was extra. Don't let Dicky_Snapples hear you say that lol but i know what you mean i'm itching to get mine bought a sat nav for it already, yay. Plus another plus point is that because it is quite retro and a remake it should sustain it's value better than other choices, the mini is nice but i needed to stay under £10k. I look forward to seeing some pictures when you get yours.
