Tried updating just says it's up to date ???
Got the standard dim screen some SE's seem to have my W810i is the same.
Got the same problem. Firmwaren upgrades depend on the region and customisation. Only fully debranded phones are really up-to-date.

i updated to the latest firmware R3CA038 and found a small bug in it...
The camera flash fires light during the autofocus(half way pressing) in low light conditions or night even if it is turned off although it does not turn on the flash while taking the final foto(full press) after focussing..
This was not the case in my previous firmware R3BH002..
can somebody check and confirm this please??? or is it in my fone only..

Well, I don't think it's a bug. I've got an older version of the firmware and it works this way also. I think it's even useful since you can get better sharpness of a photo in a dark place.

Yep it's not a bug and been there since the first firmware. It's necessary for the camera to focus properly in dark environement.
Autofocus doesntt work in the dark, hence the light.

Haha, I found the randomest little bug on 038. Please try and see if you have it too.
Keep camera slide closed. Go to Menu and choose Camera so you get the message "Open the lens cover". Now press the return button (Curved Arrow) to go back to the main menu.
Is your main menu tiny? I am using theme "The red Carpet" incase that makes a difference.
Hope im not the only one...

Got the same bug @ the 033 firmware. But it happens only with The Red Carper theme (with flash menu).

Maybe its not quite as friendly with flash menus as we would like to think? Hope they fix any potential problems here. As soon as we can costomize these, new flash menus are goin in mine!
