i have to agree with rustam there.
the c905 camera shows that each number on the board is made up of individual LED's.
if thats what they are :s. unlike the samsung that seems to make them all join

@Max, as much as I respect you and love Brisbane

, I am prety sure you are fighting a loosing battle in trying to defent the K800, or any other phone for that matter, including the N95 (considered the best camera phone, before INNOV8 come out). The INNOV8 camera has the biggest optics and chip! The pictures are absolutely STUNNING. Color rendition is perfect. Even better then the N95 which is already leaps and bounds better then the SE color rendition

. As much as I like my trustet N95 8gig, I have to 'concede' defeat. I am aware that the N95 comunity will 'skin' me alive for saying this, but a fact is a fact and no one, including you can change it
The K800 is a great phone for a 3.2MP. It doesn't have the poor colour rendition of the K850. However the main flaw of the K800 is over compression (results in water colour affect). The N95 compression is even harsher than that in the K850, and if it weren't for the purple red's in K850 photos then the K850 would easily beat the N95.
What I like about the innov8 is the much more sensible compression methodology. It doesn't have the water colour affect (but has more noise) than comparable C905 pictures. However the C905 has slightly better colour (though we need to see more non-proto pics to know for sure).
I agree the innov8 camera is very good. I still need to see more of both the C905 and the innov8 to make up my mind as to which is best overall.
So you know Brisbane then? Lovely city. We seem to have a lot of South African's here

Some of my best customer's are South African.

Oh, please! Just because you own a Nokia N95 you think it was the best camera phone before the INNOV8. The K850i was/is better than the N95 period.
The best camphone before the Samsung was the Nokia N82. Also, looking at the new pictures of the C905 vs the INNOV8 the latter doesn't look so hot anymore, the C905 does look somewhat more realistic in colour rendering though in terms sharpness it is rather unclear which one is the winner IMO.

The 3 position slider on the side of the phone is a great idea. One is still camera, one is video camera, one is view pictures. Select the correct option and press the shutter button and you are there.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. K850i anyone?
but apparently any feature introduced by SE isn't innovative. It's only innovative when Nokia adopt the feature.

(sorry tangey, joke not directed at you, but at the legions of Nokia fanboys who claim any innovation by SE is unnecessary, useless or too minor to be called innovation, until Nokia introduce it, and it suddenly becomes the best things since sliced bread)

well i have recorded videos from both n95 and innov8 and viewed them on the phones.they both seem pretty much the same.not an expert in this field though.i think the screen on the innov8 is better so the video did look slightly better but cant say much.will compare their picture taking speeds but overall the innov8 is faster than the n95-8gb.oh i forgot to mention i got mine about 2 days ago from cpw on orange.

Guys, I've asked this question before but not had any replies - dont know if this is due to people not knowing the answer or cuz I'm being think!
But I've now made up my mind to buy the Samsung BUT only if it can sync with my Mac. But I've googled for an answer but so far have had no luck.
Ive even checked Markspace to see if they do anything for this phone but they dont.
So, can anyone confirm if the i8510 can sync with a Mac please?
Thanks

I think it should support syncing even if you have to go with a third party package. Don't know for sure though.

@Shery thanks for the input bud. Samsung have done a damn good job with the Innov8,no question about that. It will be interesting to see a c950 video sample too, just to get a idea how far behind the competition they are

Further more, while the n95 and innov8 are s60 devices the c950 is not ! ! ! Apart of the photo camera the se 'flagship' is pretty lame. I belive it still uses the n73 miniature screen size. I still can't understand why a cell offering so little must be so big? Se must wake up and they must do it pretty fast, otherwise alcatel will get a bigger market share before the end of the year

In a week or so the 3d quarter is history and se's sales look even worse then in the 2nd !

you really are mario aren't you?
Samsung:
240 x 320 pixels, 2.8 inches
106.5 x 53.9 x 17.2 mm
140 g
SE C905:
240 x 320 pixels, 2.4 inches
104 x 49 x 18-19.5
136 g
SE C905 is big yes, but smaller in 2 dimensions than the innov8. The C905 is smaller in volume and weight than the innov8.
The screen is smaller but the same resolution. tbh, I find my W910 about as large as I'd want a 320x240 screen anyway. Personally I don't see why the innov stopped at 320x240. Bit of a waste of that large screen if you ask me.
Anyway, COST!! The innov has more for only a slightly bigger volume, but it cost twice as much

Half the extra cost is in miniturisation.
And C905 isn't the flagship, X1 is, the C905 is only the flagship Cybershot phone.
