This is a bug of the R1G firmware, just use R1FA035 if you want album art

Did you go back to the older firmware? (R1FA035)
If so do you recommend wotanserver or A2uploader (or any other method) to go back?

Does anyone know if this might get fixed in a future update? Does seem stupid that the c905 i had supported album art and then they ditch it on a walkman model!!

In my latest firmwares my phone tends to loose contact with my contact pictures. I can see them under Media and in the File manager, but not in the contacts. When opening a contact the filename is there, but not the picture. If I take out and put in the memorycard it is solved and if I restart my phone they come back. One of my friends has a W715 with the same problem. My FW is GA026.

I have R1GA026 and I had the same problem with album art after the update. Meaning no album art. Then I imported some new music albums (via Media Go) into the phone and album arts are displayed again even in the search through albums (on left side) and of course when song is played on main view. Album arts were automatically imported via Media Go or some of them I did manualy.
New album arts are stored under File Manager ALBUMS. The "old" music albums imported before update on R1GA026 are still without album art.

Cheers, I'll try putting some albums on using Media Go then tonight and see what happens. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys, thanks for that. Tried Media go and yeah that works -album art work back (kindo of).... Only weird thing that happens is that the phone initally connects in phone mode but then, seemingly at random, and with no onscreen message either on pc or phone the phone turns to mass storage mode. Doing that obviously screws up the music transfer and seems to wipe the art work aswell. Any ideas? is ths discussed in another topic?
Thanks for help with artwork though much appreciated.

it happened to me too but obviously in my case is not the FW issue but the usb cable. previously i was using a "clone dcu-65 usb cable" then i changed to original dcu-65 since then the phone always connected in phone mode and never get disconnected...

I've tried using Media Go to transfer some mp3 files to my W995. (Thanx for the tip, Findgold )
Now the album art appears in the album list but no longer in the player...
