Just testing out the manual shutter speed, and it looks to be working 100% , but you must be sure to set the options in the correct order, or it will not work.

1. Make sure scene is set to AUTO.
2. Select ISO from manual settings tab1, Set desired ISO level, then turn off option.
3. Select Shutter speed scene, and use EV to raise/lower shutter speed

If you perform these steps out of order, you may have to exit and restart the camera app to back the correct settings.

so far so good, i am still testing
thanks Witchking!

@jake20

You may use custom ISO if desired, but there won't be any need for it now because the default iso for that scene is set to 100 now.
And the shutter-speed follows approximately this pattern

- 2.0 = 1/6400s or 1/5000s
- 1.7 = 1/3200s
- 1.3 = 1/1250s
- 1.0 = 1/640s
- 0.7 = 1/250s
-0.3 = 1/125s
0.0 = 1/50s
0.3 = 1.25s
0.7 = 1/10s
1.0 = 1/5s
1.3 = 1/2s
1.7 = 1s
2.0 = >1s

@witchking
ahh, ok.. very nice work!!
The reason I may need to set a manual ISO level is because when i select a faster shutter speed, you really need a lot of light, and if there is not enough, i would need to choose a faster ISO to compensate.

thanks again!

witchking,
i find myself never really needing to use the "Portrait" scene. Is there anything useful you could use this scene for maybe?
what do you think, do you think this scene is needed?

thanks

@NEO,
yes, it looks like your are correct. Portrait scene does not seem to work at all.
When it focuses, the screen goes black, and you have to restart the camera app.

hopefully witchking can easily fix..

I also notice that switching between scenes requires a restart of the camera app to get the correct settings.

@jake20
you are right,and it also happens in video mode. if you record more than 5 minutes and stop,close the slider and the camera wont quit.it will show the recorded video,and you need to restart the phone.

But so far this is the best driver for c905.
