The e-price macros were very good, the outdoor ones not so much, but I believe this may have been to do with the 3D sweep function being used for the outdoor shots and if you look closely there is a fair amount of ghosting on the image.

Still a little bit of compression noise on those photos when cropped to 100pc, although it's an improvement on the Arc. Again, photos coming in bigger a 3-3.5mb.

I hope the camera application has the ability to select the compression level, but sadly I don't think this is the case.

No, compression level can't be set.

Still, I think the compression levels and amount of resolved detail aren't that bad. Here's a pic from the Satio for comparison:

Rog, that does'n look to good when cropped. If these are iso64 shots, then how will look iso200 ones? There's been no progress in S(E) picture processing for 3-4 years. And it probably won't get any better, because these shots have sony/se dna all over them.

Best Xperia so far for picture quality imo is the Ray

Yes, Ray seems to get the balance of sharpness and detail just right. I also rated the X10's camera.

I don't know how SE can change these things when fundamentally the sensor is the same in the Ray and the Arc.

Xperia S is looking better the more I see the photos in detail, still needs a little less compression noise to beat the current best SGS2.

Photo quality same as Arc, but resolution seems to increase a bit. Hope they make end result processing same as result from Iphone 4s!~
