Not really interested in comparing a phone camera to a DSLR it's just something that doesn't bother me. Am bored to tears with phone to phone comparisons now too all it does is cause arguments

The whole phone industry is becoming a yawn

I finally bought the S-cover and I really like S-view finder. Now to my question, is it possible to change the standard player to your own player in S-view?

I must say that nearly every time I read the reviews of these "latest" new phones I feel really good about my Note 3 which is nearly on par with most of them. I have not seen any new phone beat the Note 3 by any large stretch on benchmark tests or camera results. In fact in the article posted by Emerson_shei the Note 3 beats the Xperia Z2 which has the newer Snapdragon 801 in some benchmark tests.
Most phones are even still coming with 16gb of storage and 2gb of RAM while the Note 3 sports 32gb and 3gb respectively with room for expansion to 128gb.
The Note 3 if launched this September would still rank among the top phones available. Touchwiz just needs to be toned down.

Well what else would you expect when the top chipset that is currently available (SD801) is more or less the same as the SD800 used in Note 3, which was released almost a year ago now
I don't see a reason for being surprised.
And I might be wrong, but I think that the SD805 expected very soon is going to be again just marginally better than SD801 / SD800.

The Note 3 is the best overall, IMO, I'd gladly get it over any 2014 flagship so far.
The Snapdragon 801 CPU isn't much of a step from the 800, and as you said, most of these 2014 flagships have 2GB RAM and a paltry 16GB internal mass mem, the Note 3 overall seems the best package, and it's going to be one hell of a bargain when the Note 4 arrives.

As I understand it the Snapdragon 805 will be clocked at 2.7ghz

versus 2.3ghz in the Note 3. ! I don't think we need such speeds in a cellphone as yet but with the expected QHD screen (which I also don't think is needed).
This Note 3 is a beast and a top shelf phone still. Touchwiz is the only which prevents it from being continuously speedy. I am getting a Note 3 for my wife. She loves mine.

Well,if you use the newer Touchwiz it really is much smoother, faster & slicker with no lag at all. It really is a breath of fresh air compared to TW of old. If they had the new TW on Note 3 it would fly
