What is good is that there is a widget you can place on the home screen, which contains up to four camera modes, which you can customise. This is very handy. Instead of firing up the camera first and choosing a particular mode, e.g. Superior Auto, Manual, Time Shift or Background Defocus, each mode is right there at a click, direct from the home screen via the widget, which is just great!

The camera widget has been like this since the Z1, and the kitkat update I believe, but in JB it had the 4 different camera modes but I don't think it was customizable.
Is there anything on the phone you don't like so far?

It is indeed a very well built handset. I've only had time to tinker with it since delivery yesterday morning but initial impressions are exceptional.
Hardware-wise, cannot fault it. I am on the prowl for accessories and perhaps a charging cable to the side-dock rather than the mini-usb.
The number of options and settings in Kitkat is remarkable. There is a niggle with 4.4 when user certificates are installed (mail/wifi/vpn) that has been around for a year and frustratingly, only now apparent. It wont affect the casual user however.
Perhaps the whole experience is rather jaded in my case since I've come direct from the LT30 so there are mahoosive improvements all over.
My only immediate problem (and a nice one it is!) is whether i use the supplied screen protector or even apply it to the rear side since i too think that it could be plastic.

On the Z1 Compact it is customizable.

Is the dock connector similar to that of the Z1?
I'm considering purchasing a
charge cable that is Z1 compatible.

ETA: Scratch that, just picked a few of
these up.

Thanks for the link, I'm after a magnetic charging cable too, to save fiddling with the flaps.
After a few days use I can't quite find anything I don't like about the Z3C. I'm still getting used to the smaller scrteen size, however, it is a lot more pocketable and one handed use is a breeze.

NP. Been on a mini spending spree for accessories that always follows on from a new handset. Man-maths will soon convince me that the wireless charging case & wallet are next.....
Still got the wrappers on the thing but will resist tearing them off until the Rhino Shield film arrives. However, can't fault it whatsoever on the occasions i've had a few moments with it. The screen is remarkable in fact; very usable outdoors and the brightness levels are excellent.

Yeah, I'll be on a spree for new accessories too.
The SCR23 Active Style cover (the one with the window).
Laynard
Screen protector
Charging Dock, or the one with the built in speaker.
I'm considering the Z3 Tablet Compact too, as an early Christmas present to myself.
