XA Ultra for example has 99.2 cm2.
A screen of this size would be bit bigger than whole L1.

So the new CEO wants to quit mobile yesterday, only reason they didn't is that they don't know if the next big thing will be phone related or not. Spek posted something similar than deleted it but someone already quoted it:

So the most important
rumor is that Sony Mobile will shrink furter to only a few markets. Even in the EU they will shrink. And after ME, Africa and Turkey, South America is next.

The word is they will keep the division running but not for the whole world. So if you're willing to chase them (importing and all) you'll probably still going to get the new devices. I for one won't do that.

XZ3 was showcased almost 60 days ago. No word if it is coming to my country.
It's not even on website yet.
Here, Samsung and Motorola bring devices start selling phones quickly. Motorola sales is always 2 or 3 after local event.
Sony has no midranges before late April and flagships before late July.
They took too long to bring Xz2 that stores brought units from abroad and started selling for 4800,00 while on Sony website it costs 3600,00. But most costumers still go to stores.
Last year they started to ship xz1 like 2 weeks after IFA. They need to do again.

Thats only partially right. In fact, they want to quit the whole electronics business all together, focusing on IP and services. Even Playstation will be a service in the future. And the first department to go will be the money losing ones, and we all know what that is.
This is really sad, as the only other brand I trust is Vertu, but that is long gone.

It is impossible for Xperia gone within this year. It should at least took 2 years for migrating with others department. They also need to push all planned phones out. Just like the transition from SE to Sony.
Even if they give up. They will do it step by step and Japan will be the last country. They may Force on Asia and US in the coming years.
There still some brand we can use: Samsung, Pixel, Sharp Aquos. Phones are become more durable. I think I can use XZ1 in next 5 year.
