It's actually very easy to control especially with Pachmayr grips. I may be biased since I'm quite used to .44 magnum recoil in my super blackhawk. It has the softest, sweetest trigger pull and I didn't even have to take it to a gunsmith. Here's a picture of my beauty

No problem, glad to do it. BTW, the middle gun with the cool adjustable sight looks like a 2nd Gen Glock 19, the bottom gun, an HK USP9. May I ask what the top gun is? A 1st Gen Glock 17 with a laser sight?

That xm8 rifle looks really sleek. Guess polymer is really here to stay.

I think the rifle looks a bit to big for my liking. Still cool though.

doc,
you may post your 5.56 babies here also!
[yeah that's a 2nd-gen Glock-17. (we've been fans of glocks since THAT long time already) but the lasers are removed now. we're back to non-electronic sighting.]

My babies look a little run down from use, maybe after I dress them up a little

The 1st generation Glock 17 does not have the checkering (grenade design) on the front and back straps of the grip. It has a wrap-around stipple design instead. Also, the magazine stays on the grip after you push the magazine release and has to be pulled out. The Glock 19 appeared at the same time as the 2nd generation Glock 17, hence, the 1st generation Glock 19 has the checkering/grenade design on the front and back straps. The 3rd generation Glocks (refers to all Glocks now) have the new finger groove design.

G17
you're right, got my generations mixed up. In addition, 3rd gen Glocks have the accessory rail except in the subcompact models like my Glock 30. For the benefit of our readers, here are the frame generations
