What was the problem with the frames?? Is doesnt work??

Nope, frame work fine in R2L. AFAIK, it just vegetaleb's phone that have problem with frame.

i have a problem with frames too after i upgraded to R2L... i tried re flashing the FW this afternoon at the service point but the problem persists... they told me to bring it to another service point and if it is not corrected they can replace the unit

Just upgraded my K700 from R2E to R2L aswell. Lost my shortcust but otherwise it looks fine.
Already found a few new things. A new Profile called: TTY accessory
I guess thats a profile for when the CHATBOARD is connected.
Also the bold dates in the calendar is there again! thanks SE!
Ill keep you posted for more changes.

a simple upgrade of your phone in r2l will not correct the frames problem,the files are missing that's all! so you will have to claim for a full format of your fw phone then they reinstall r2a then again r2l or directly r2l if they have the full version
it's like if a virus erased part of your win xp,you will have to erase the full windows folder and then reinstall a new brand one

Would think that on a new phone would have the new fw....?

You have an older firmware... the R2E is the 2nd released firmware (and they say... it's full of bugs than fixes) you might want to upgrade it to R2L. But, if you don't have any problems in the fone... don't change anything.

I wanted to know if the R2L fixes the 'GPRS not really disconnecting' bug?

If you try with a new SIM-card it will work just fine. Some modern phones have problems with older SIM-cards. I had the same problem with my phone bought in Sweden and it helped to switch the SIM-card. My operator (Vodafone) just sent me a new one with no charge. I bought the phone from them too.
