BTW, to ALL K800/K790 users!

my buttons are holding up just fine and my joystick is still pretty firm after a month of use.
My downward one has been pretty screwed since day 1, im just too lazy to get it fixed.

@Cupidon
The K800i is quiet for playing music and video, the general concensous at the moment is SE have done this to segragate their walkman brand from their camera brand, I doubt anyone would buy 2 phones to get the best of both.
Adjusting the equalizer to the max settings makes it a bit louder but not much.

Having owned my K800i for 5 days now i've had quite a play with it.
The main thing I don't like about the phone is quiet MP3 playback.
However, The FM radio is twice as loud as MP3 playback, fantastic radio, with RDS :D
I've yet to test m4a / other non MP3 audio formats to see if they suffer from quieter playback, it sounds like some kind of filtering going on or some other weird audio processing as mp3's sound louder in some places and quiter in others, similar to the effects a compressor has. It's not the MP3 files as i've tried varying bitrates, sample frequencies and sources.
Anyone else tried other non mp3 formats to see if they sound "affected?" I'll post back with results on my findings.

ok for those who wanna enjoy their j-stix. why not if your planning to buy a new one or wanna replace one that you have bought... why not try fiddling with the stik b4 buyin... fiddle with it for minutes until you know it can be firm for the rest of its use... if youre not satisfied then ask for another unit before you buy one.. its like practicing some of our small rights as buyers/clients.

This is still recommended, and brilliant; however it wont give a good indication of how the J-stick will perform over time. on a side note that related, ever wonder why a hottie blows on our stick before ready to play? Just cause it looks and moves stiff doesnt mean it'll 'perform' that way over time. Same principle here on the K800. Although I do have faith in SE that he J-stick will do nicely. W810 is less than 12 days away - brand new for me. I'll wait for a few more Firmware revisions before I bite on the K790i.
Not everywhere in the world providers buy in bulk to offer as hardware upgrades. I wish but.
