@Hobbs, wanqa, brix: Thanks for your comments which have inspired me to keep the PNF flag flying. I am hoping posts on the thread will pick up sooner.
Now to the MWC, some great announcements so far for Day 1, anybody expecting some more?

Yep, well hopefully its using the new TI OMAP3430 CPU cause i think that has a GPU that can do 720p.

Ye congrats on that Bravia,we got the same one here at my home i think, dnt know if its 32 or 42inch,im guessing 32, and i think ours is a Plasma,it aint as sharp as these new LCD ones, we got it 2years ago, realy sweet for watching movies on.

Nice,keep it going! So far im a bit underwhelmed by the NOKIA and SE announcements, SAMSUNG though have impressed me, hopefuly LG will do the same, and are Apple AND HTC even there? Or they too cool for MWC?

Lol,okay so HTC are there, they just annouced the TouchPRO-2 AND TouchDiamond-2 both with larger displays (T.PRO now with 3.6inch and T.Diamond with 3.2inch) both got WVGA (800x480) screen res.

Im loving all these new phones.It is pretty amazing how technology is speeding along at such a phenomenal pace.So many progressions in such short periods of time.And the cool thing is, the competition is fiercer than its ever been and yardsticks are been set just to be overtaken by a rival and so on and so on.Its fantastic.I at this present moment in time am not a fanboy of any brand in particular.It open season and they all have fantastic offering at present excepting lowly Motorola who we are all kinda forgetting about and rightly so.I am going to keep this E90 for the 2 years I promised I would so I wont be laying my hands on any of these babies any time soon,but you know what,Im ok with that.This is still a fantastic phone and Im going to use it to its full potential.I just wish the developers would get cracking and introduce some new fresh apps for S60.I Go to Ipmart everyday and its the same ol stuff over and over again.The 5800 is getting all the attention at the moment.Not cool.

Yeah it's been spec-bomb after spec-bomb with all these high end phones lately. Not too mad about the new 8mp N86, or the 6720 Classic for that matter.
That new LG GM730 runs on WinMo 6.1; finally a better-equipped cam (i.e. 5mp with a/f AND flash LOL) on a WinMo phone!
7.2mbps, GPS, 3" screen, 3.5mm jack, etc etc.

@ rhino: You may want to wait another month or two before renewing that contract, boet; with all these new phones out, we're becoming extremely spoilt for choice with such high specs.

I say blehhhh, to all these new phones...they're going to cost an arm and a leg, especially if they make it to SA(and on Vodacom).
Up to a few months ago I was seriously contemplating the iPhone but the SA store has been so crippled( no music or games) they might as well close up shop and throw in the white flag as far as the AppStore is concerned.

Wanqa, great stuff from LG, hopefuly this S60 does better than their Mini E90 s60 from last year which seems to have been a major flop.
Lol Brix, thanx for bringing us back down to earth with that one
they are going to be ridiculously expensive
