is that really a reliable comparison? seems suspicious to me. i don't know how they take the shots at the very exact moment. can somebody extract the EXIF data there? they look fake to me. they look like lumia 1020 photos edited and the inferior shot made to appear as the xperia z1's. is it possible to take photos at the same time and the same angle? look at the photo with the moving car. how did they take that photo for both phones?

That's a valid point, same time and same angle

Just a few comments quickly
XperiaJunkie, your photos look good!
It should raise interest in the phone.
I hope Sony will release a firmware update that will make the camera even better, to get the most out of it, and that docomo will not embargo it for too long.
Regarding the reviews on Phone Arena and GSM Arena. Why don't wait or ask camera specialists sites to do the comparison and where they place Z1 and 1020 against point and shoots camera.
Did anyone have more luck than I had in asking Sony about what they mean by pixel binning and what does the still shots stabilisation option do? How it works, under what settings, etc.. Or could someone that will meet Sony people in the near future ask?
Thanks!

If you guys will do an HHT sample(Yes, I'm looking at you moogo

) , do it at night, I want to see something like this
PS: I'm astounded by the deafening silence of the rumors thread these days
@Shotokan81:
+1 for the JPEG engine revision, it is through there that we can see the true potential of Z1's camera

@shotokan - i have asked sony accounts on twitter several times but they choose to ignore my questions. i won't even waste my time going to a store to ask cause I am sure they won't have a clue what I'm even talking about.
A user on XDA did a pretty comprehensive review and he believes it is digital stabilization (which is fine i guess? seems to work amazingly well in video mode) at least.
@razec - well of course it'll be done at night! what's the point of testing Hand Held Twilight if it's not tested in twilight conditions?!

Two peoples make 2 shots at the same time. What the problem really?

@Moogoo: Thanks, indeed it seems that the only way to get some info is via the insiders that have connections with technical people. This is a strange situation as these are features of the Z1, not rumors or anything Sony has any benefits in hiding.
Re the fact this is digital stabilisation, this is what I would expect, but I am still wondering:
A) how can it work at full resolution 20.7 MP
B) how can it work at the same time as the pixel binning, that i also assume is software based.
Not saying it is impossible, but if Sony has made some prowess here, by all means, let the world (and us) know!!
