Anybody ever had a cracked Lcd outside the manufacturer's warranty but within Vodacom's 2 year warranty?
My mother's phone fell and cracked the lcd, everything is working just fine. Reading up on the manufacturer's warranty clause states it as not covered so I was wondering if anything can be done before buying her a new phone cause she says she likes this phone.
Thanks!

What kind of phone is it? Maybe you can buy a new Lcd and ask them to replace it.Try find out how much one cost.Good luck bro.Think its going to set you back a couple of hundred.

@Ems
AFAIK the only thing claimed to be covered in the warranty is manufacturers errors. LCD's is not one of them, BUT you should be able to get a new LCD and install it, or have it installed. In most cases it is almost cheaper to get a new phone than replace the LCD.
@HOBBS
I agree with you, i still think it's too little too late, BUT there is always a possibility that they can pull through, and if this baby has the right specs and the right OS AND most important, the right price, the die hard Moto fans will all jump at it, and it might save them. On the other hand, if this one fails, i think it will be the final nail in the Moto Coffin.

You spot on Rhino...MOTO 'Die Hiehard Fans'...I hope they still out there...I think the front view of that phone looks nice.
EMS-Rhino told you what I didnt want to tell you...thats why I asked what phone it was...'sometimes its better to just buy a new phone than spend a couple of hundred on a replacement LCD'...but...if its a pricey phone and you want to revive it...then its worth the cash.
I think its official...I'm ditching the E90 and going to get the Sony Ericsson Xperia...I just got to work out the financial side of the whole affair...It aint going to mess with my financials long term...its just the Once off pay-in thats going to be a head-ache...R2700...Could wait a month for the price to drop but when have I ever done something that stupid lol Question now is...Do I keep the E90...or do I sell it? And if I sell it...What price-tag do I attach to it?
Rhino....When can we hear the good new...The 5800.?

Rant-on:
Been snooping around for 3 weeks to see which SE would be a good successor for my trusty W800i. It still works fine, although the casing looks terrible (would appreciate it if someone could replace that for me!)
Eventually I narrow the search down to the C902 and the G900. Since no-one at the Vodashops know anything about the G900, I folded and took a C902. Nice little phone, but the #$%^ Vodafone branding and Vlive are absolutely frustrating. The Vlive function is set to the "Back" button, which is 1mm away from the "call cancel". No chance of being able to change this, without voiding the warranty. This, for a stupid feature which I never-ever intend to use.
Then I found out that Vodacom will NOT be releasing the G900. I strongly suspect that's because Vodafone's software doesn't work well.
Reasons I should've ported to MTN: no Vodafone crap and they've had the G900 for months already.

@HOBBS and Rhino
Thanks guys! She is using the Nokia 6300. I think I'll be buying her a new phone then.
I think Motorola is bleeding heavily and I do agree with you Rhino that it is a case of too little too late. Those that left Moto are unlikely to return IMO.
@HOBBS
Congrats bro! Looking forward to your review. I played with the X1 last year and fell in love with the design but couldn't be swayed by WM.
@flarkit
Hi! Yeah, the vodafone software gets to me too. I've got two phones with that software (W890i and the Motorola V8) and am looking to debrand them.
