@Indiandawg,

I wrote here about this point since Xperia Z announced as we were expecting 32GB but it came with 16GB...

Sony know that JB changed this and stopped the ability to move apps to the microSD, but they didn't reflect this change to this high-end device ( high-ends should come with 32GB minimum 64GB possible, mid range 8 - 16GB, low-ends 4 - 16GB )

Even Xperia S has 32GB !!!

Any way, I think Google is doing good with this move as installing apps to the microSD added so many complications in the Android platform, just the fact that you will miss that app when removing the microSD or to distinguish some apps that should not be installed in the microSD like Widgets. is a pain by it self...

the problem is Google didn't inform the manufacturer from the ICS time that this will be changed in JB so they can prepare them selfs and the devices they make...

Google should involve the manufacturers more and more in the development of Android... and this is one of the major issues along with slow updates

From ZOMG

No additional information other than that really, from their surveys they I heard they had the highest level of iOS > Android switchers for any phone released so far. It's quite an achievement and with the marketing push starting yesterday it will only get better.

You don't seem to get it, the 16GB, which is really around 11GB is shared by apps, games and other parts of the system, if you do a lot of web browsing or use other data intensive apps that will eat up a lot of the memory, so you have this to consider on top of installing lots of apps, lets not forget some games do store data in the built in memory.

I saw this crap coming long ago when I 1st looked at a GS3's Storage, then I saw the Nexus 4s with JB, made me realize that my future Androids will need 32GB minimum built-in if I don't want to have to keep an eye on my memory.

I don't believe its possible for someone to use all 16GB (or even 11GB) of memory on apps and apps cache or data from games in a mobile phone...
