Sound is subjective

More bright but more mellow (smoother bass) than HTC (about the same level of loudness) - for me its better than HTC
I think Beats Audio exaggerates the bass frequencies that's why it sounds nice, but really isn't.

about the prototype:
Stereo Sound: Is is Louder than Z1? compared to HTC One? Is it clean or metallic?
Sound is subjective

Shortcut: Is it the only one you have found? are there others in the quick settings?
almost every setting has a shortcut - BT to bluetooth settings, throw to throw settings, birghtness to screen settings etc
Status bar icon: with "they are chosable" you intend that you can select which one to display or that you can choose which style/shape the different cinos have?
Just choose whether to show gps etc or not
Status Led: I saw they hid it in the speaker... is it bright? Is it easy to notice?
Its top of the Sony logo - visible when facing the phone and halo from back
Many thanks... Happy to hear the bit about the Stereo Speaker...

I like smoother sounds, mellow smooth sounds
@ItsJustJoh
Me too!

I do not like Beats Sound, I prefer Pioneer or Sony audio... WAY MORE
I'm hoping for some quality sound from the Z2

WOW a waterproof device with a stereo speaker that as good as HTC ONE boomsound. I wonder how good is the quality of the speaker if SIRIUS isn't waterproof but definitely it will sound better for sure!

If Sirius really does have front-facing stereo speakers, AND is waterproof, AND has a 5.2" display as good as the Z1 Compact's--then I really feel bad for HTC. There will be no reason (IMO) to get the M8.

The "OLED" that was mentioned in the article is actually PMoled, an OLED screen that uses a Passive matrix addressing scheme. PMOLED is what you would often see on Sirius car Radios and SE bluetooth heasdsets, based on his descriptions and what it really is So the guy who wrote the article was wrong as OLED is just a general term to differentiate this kind of screen to LCD and CRT. That AMOLED and PMOLED are its type.

Well this news about the quality of the front facing speakers certainly is nice. I've long since wondered when Sony would up their game for external audio quality on their phones. The E1 was a nice step, but of course that's not a waterproof flagship phone.
Gonna hold on to my Z Ultra for now. Keeping a close eye out for news on the new Ultra, or the 2H flagship that's been rumored with the Arc back. Can't wait for more info on that front.

Beats are nothing but, uh well marketing gimmick imo, afaik audiophiles pretty much stay away from anything beats. Software enhancements such as equalizers and other presets pretty much just alters the music from the way it was supposed to sound. If you have a good sounding pair of headphones/earphones you'd rarely need software enhancement for your music.
Beats bass aren't that good, you do hear the boom boom

sound louder, but not the clarity of the bass

Actually HTC One speakers are not that really good or miles better that the competition. Its speakers are just position right and produce less distortion, especially in playing back high quality audio. When compared side by side to S4, one could not really notice the difference. One might even like S4 better. I am not a Samsung or HTC fan, although I have been a proud owner of HTC One for 8 months now, But I just dont want people setting HTC One as benchmark for speaker quality. Thats all.

Someone's rising fast. Is there anyone in the world besides Samsung who hasn't capitalised on Qualcomm sleeping?
Are we expecting a higher end version of the Xperia C, for certain if not all markets?

Who told you that Qualcomm is sleeping ?
They're working.. but they don't reveal anything before official announcement...
The point is, no body expected Apple to reveal their 64bit SoC this early, ofcourse everybody including Qualcomm already have 64bit plans before, but they were not expecting anything for 2013/2014 timeframe.. most of them had a 2014/2015 timeframe...
