Uh-Oh, this must mean that TouchFlo 3D is even more flawed and inefficient than the X1 panels?

Rotate sensor, optical auto-focus, TV-out, 288MB RAM--nice feature additions. I wonder what it's missing compared to X1?

Looks like it's coming out no sooner than the X1 though. That will be an interesting showdown. I choose the SE Xy1.

Looking more carefully at the sentence in the Press Release, it may or may may not be optical focus. The sentence reads "The built-in camera includes an optical auto-focus lens that ensures the photos you take will be clear and consistent." Actual optical focus or wordplay?...I don't know.

It lacks the processor punch of the X1, but if you're buying the american version of the X1 then the Diamond Pro is a better buy. The X1 EU/EMEA version uses the MSM7200 processor which records at VGA*30fps while the Diamond pro and the X1a records at QVGA*24fps. I prefer the better processor to the increased RAM, but thats just me.

The screen is better on the X1 of course.

EDIT: on the website it says Auto Focus nothing more

Aren't the processors the same?

Unless something is added to the 'a' version to make it more appealing to me, I'll probably get the X1i since the X1a is going to have crippled video.

The extra RAM might not mean too much if TouchFlo 3D is consuming it.

Nope, MSM7201a for the x1a and the MSM7200A for the X1.

So can anyone say which one will have better multimedia capability (music and video playback) ?
That will be the last factor after which I will choose between the X1 and the Touch Pro.

I'm guessing the X1i.
