Wow the UI is cool. I was thinking about the Omnia HD but this blows that out of the water once you look at the UI in action.

only thing is(and i guess many here share this opinion) we wuld like to know/see more of Idou and another smart phone(s) coz most of us are not average users

i don't think that there is a need for disappointment
idou(or how ever they call it) is a step forward. you shouldn't be disappointed just because they haven't shown anything more of the device. actually there is a sibling from sony who faced the same dilemma at the announcement day - the NWZ-X1 Walkman (OLED touch-screen...) and its even said to be available in may.
i think sony ericsson wanted to avoid negative hands-on reports just because the software is flawed or the touch screen slow. these days are rough, sony itself really needs successful devices - so they play safe on the media front.
this ultimate entertainment is what everyone has waited for - heck think about it. its what nokia calls their N series - a multimedia device. sony ericsson is undergoing chances, thats what I see and what has been promised months ago. don't expect these changes to turn over in phones/products in a fast manner. after all its still possible that they would have had several other phones on the bill for tonight, but maybe they cancelled the ones that would have only disappointed us in terms of quality and features.
feel the change which is going on at sony ericsson, they are listening to us and know where they have really f**ked up in the past

IMO it have WVGA (theorically wvga is for 16:9 and vga is for 4:3 displays)

I highly doubt that, they're probably just going to use a CMOS sensor.

You agree that it's annoying, you pay a lot of money for these phones. It would be easy for Se to add it, every other manufacturer seems to find it easy too. 3.5mm jack won't add that much bulk and is well worth the convenience. You carry on with your annoying phone.
